Really, you get what you pay for. I used the hostel only as a place to sleep, so I didn't need something special. The location is excellent - it takes 3 minutes by foot to get to the Copacabana beach. So if you are a backpacker and you don't want to spend much money - Hostel Rio Ritz is a good place to stay.

The hostel is just 3 blocks from the beach.
The cleaning the bathroom is terrible, has several services but most are blighted and almost always dirty.

I was ok as a place to sleep
Non English speaking and no one stays there that are English speaking I stayed 2 nights and that was ok just for somewhere to sleep but if your looking for staying somewhere they will help you with your traveling or to meet people that are English speaking and are traveling then this isn't the place for you.

Nothing
The toilette and showers were always dirty and not fully usable. I had to use the "posto" toilette and showers at the beach and paid them to use it. This hostel is 95% israeli people and definitely not suitable for someone that's not israeli.
